1. Who is this course intended for?

This course is designed for medical students, researchers, and healthcare professionals who wish to enhance their research skills, particularly in the areas of narrative reviews, and systematic reviews.
Students from disciplines for allied sciences like fields of Biology and Pharmacology can also derive value from the Module.

2. How Will I get a Manuscript Published? What are the topics? Where will the manuscript get Published?

Towards the end of the Research 101 module, students will be asked to:

Attempt a short skill testing based on everything that was taught over the module.
The skill testing would be graded and the winners would be allowed to pick Research topics of their choice and lead a team as the first author.
The students will be assisted in creation of the protocol and drafting of the manuscript.
Upon completion, students will be helped with the submissions of the manuscript that will be submitted to the journal that is decided upon by the will of the group.
(Our mentors have a list of PubMed and Scopus indexed journals that are valued. Some of them are Free of cost and do not require a fee during submission, the Article Processing Charge (APC). While SWRGs are free add-ons to the Research 101 course, the Article Processing Charges are not included in the fee of the Module)

3. Is a publication guaranteed upon application? Why is the module paid

The Research 101 workshop is designed to teach students the essence of Review Research and help them get their first publications. The Charaka Project charges a small fee to incentivise the Mentors who invest their time and energy in creating the resources under the module.

We follow a simple course of action where we train students and then help them develop their protocols that are then acted upon by the applicants based on the insights the module offers. Students are helped with creating a framework a timeline and a plan which when worked upon would result in a manuscript that is then submitted to a journal.

The Publication of the Manuscript depends on the team's actions and hence requires constant zeal and motivation to finish what was started. The Charaka Project guarantees to help students finish the manuscript and ensures everything needed for a publication has been acquired. Manuscripts that are being worked on must be completed to have them published. The Charaka Project ensures that it acts as a guiding beacon to make the entire process, from training to tasks, seamless.

4. What are the prerequisites for enrolling in this course?

There are no specific prerequisites. However, a basic understanding of medical terminology and research principles will be beneficial. The Module intends to train students from absolute scratch and offers resources to help them in their research journey.

5. How is the course structured? What does the course include? What is the Duration? What are the Resources provided?

The course is divided into three main sections: Narrative Reviews and Systematic Reviews. Each section includes lectures, reading materials, practical exercises, and assessments.
The Module encompasses a 4-day long workshop that is inclusive of live training sessions ranging from 40 minutes to an hour. During the sessions, the students will be introduced to all of the aspects of Review Research and will be helped with their questions and doubts throughout.
The module includes a perfect balance of semantics and metaphors and examples drawn from the most valued resources.

Towards the end of the training webinars, students will be added to Small Working Research Groups (SWRGs) wherein they will be helped in getting a publication under their belt by working on relevant medical topics and submitting them to valuable indexed journals.

6. What materials are provided with the course?

The course includes a comprehensive set of notes entailing example reviews and other necessary resources. All materials are designed to enhance your understanding and application of the concepts taught.

7. How can I get support during the course?

As a part of the Module, you are entitled to reach out to your leads and mentors via the group communication to ask any questions that pertain to the course. Furthermore, Google forms that seek doubts and questions will be shared to ask questions without the hesitation of speaking infront of the groups.

8. Can i apply for a refund?

The Research 101 Workshop by The Charaka Project is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of Review Research, enabling them to secure their first academic publication. A nominal fee is charged to ensure fair compensation for our dedicated mentors, who invest significant time and effort in curating high-quality resources for the module.

Refund Policy

To maintain transparency and provide a hassle-free experience, The Charaka Project offers a straightforward refund policy:

Early-Bird Registrations: Refund requests can be made within 10 days of the payment initiation.
Post Early-Bird Registrations: Refund requests can be made within 5 days of the payment initiation.
Exceptions: Refunds may be granted in cases of accidental payments* upon verification without a period deadline.
Non-Refundable Period: Refunds will not be processed once the module has commenced.
